
Mukporong Himal Yak Cheese Dairy Farm
Mukporong Himal Yak Cheese Dairy Farm was started from 2017 A.D. at the foothill of Holy Mountain Mukporong in the eastern side of the Vijer Valley. Yak/Dri Milk is used to make cheese and ghee brought by women of Vijer and surrounding village to support them providng income source. Yak/Dri cheese have been consuming in Himalayan communities since ancient times due to their high nutritious values as the Yak eats valuable medicinal and herbal plants. The Dairy Farm was handed over to local government by the projects in 2021 A.D.
Mukporong Dolpo Yak Cheese Shop, Kathmandu
A shop is located at Aarubari, Kathmandu, just a 15-minute walk from Boudha Stupa, where we sell cheese products to customers. Several five-star hotels, such as Hotel Hyatt and Soltee Hotel, order our cheese to serve to their guests.
