Our Team
We have a locally led, diverse team that is selflessly contributing to the community by improving access to quality education, healthcare, and overall community upliftment. Our programs operate in coordination with the local government. All our team members are former students of our school, motivated by the intention of giving back to the community.

Pemba Gyaltsen Gurung
Chairperson
Pemba Gyaltsen Gurung is a dedicated educator and founding member of ROV-Dolpo, originating from the pristine, remote region of Vijer in Dolpo, Western Nepal. An alumnus of Shree Mukporong Himal Basic School and Sambotta High School, he pursued higher secondary education at Pushpalal Memorial Secondary School in Kathmandu and earned his B.Ed. from Dolpo Campus, Dunai. Currently advancing his studies with an MA in English at Kathmandu Model College, Mr. Gurung brings over eight years of teaching experience, including five years at his home village school.
As President of ROV-Dolpo, he leads a locally driven, diverse team committed to transforming lives through quality education, healthcare, and community upliftment.

Karma Tashi Gurung
Vice Chairperson
​Karma Tashi Gurung, born on August 10, 2003, is a dedicated, creative and passionate person serving as vice chairperson role in our organization. He is from one of the latest recorded village in western remote part of Nepal called "Ku village". He completed his SEE and BLE level education from Snowland Ranag Light Of Education School, Kathmandu. He has completed his +2 degree from Sirjana College of Fine Arts in 2078 BS and currently, pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the same institution. Karma has teaching experience in Art, Math, and Social Studies at his own village's school and in some schools within Kathmandu. He has also volunteered in several art exhibitions and workshops, including those held by NAFA. His interests and experience reflect a strong commitment to both education and the arts.

Phurba Tenzin Gurung
Secretary
Mr. Phurba Tenzin Gurung is working as the Secretary of our organization. He is a dedicated, passionate, and creative alumnus with a strong academic foundation and growing professional experience.
Phurba began his educational journey at Shree Mukporong Himal Primary School, completing his primary education before continuing from Grade 6 to 10 at Suryodaya Educational Development Academy. After successfully completing his Secondary Education Examination (SEE), he pursued higher secondary studies in Bio-Science at Texas International College, located in Mitrapark, Chabahil.
Currently, he is gaining hands-on experience by working at Karma Cargo Pvt. Ltd. His role in management and accounting has equipped him with valuable skills in logistics, coordination, and time management—qualities that are essential to his effectiveness and responsibility as a secretary.
Rooted in gratitude for the educational institutions and community that have shaped his journey, Phurba is deeply committed to giving back. He aspires to serve in ways that meaningfully contribute to the development and well-being of his community.

Pema Dawa Gurung
Treasurer
Mr. Pema Dawa Gurung serves as the Treasurer of our organization. He is a passionate and hardworking individual hailing from Shey Phoksundo Rural Municipality–5, Vijer, Dolpa.
Mr. Gurung began his education at Shree Mukporong Himal Basic School, where he studied up to Grade 5. He then continued his secondary education at Suryodaya Educational Development Academy (SEDA), completing up to Grade 10. He pursued his higher secondary education (+2 Science) at Kitini Secondary School, Lalitpur.
Currently, he is undertaking a Bachelor's degree in Business Studies (BBS) at Adarsha Saula College while simultaneously working as an Accountant at LT Fashion Pvt. Ltd. His practical experience in accounting plays a vital role in supporting the financial management of our organization.
His dedication, combined with his academic background and professional expertise, makes him an invaluable asset to our team.

Pema Dhargyal Lama
Member
Mr. Pema Dhargyal Lama is a valued member of our organization. He hails from the remote, pristine village named Vijer in Dolpa districts, Nepal. Pema’s educational journey began in Tibetan Children Village, Dharamsala, India, where he was exposed to a wide range of cultures and experiences that broadened his worldview. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor's degree in Education at Pashupati Multiple Campus, Kathmandu, Nepal, continuing his academic and personal development. His diverse exposure to the schooling, personal growth, and a deep-rooted commitment to contributing meaningfully to the communities he is part of is key.

Pema Kunsang Gurung
Member
Pema Kunsang Gurung, born on 25 April 1998, currently resides temporarily in Boudha, Kathmandu, though her permanent address is in Vijer-05, Shey Phoksundo, Dolpa, Nepal. She completed her higher secondary education with a focus on Science at C.S.T. Kalimpong in West Bengal, India. Pema began her professional journey as a teacher at Pegasus School, where she worked for one year, and then continued teaching at Mukporong School for three years. Her career then took a turn toward production management, and she is now serving as the Production Manager at Ghangzong Carpet Manufacture, a role she has held for the past two years and continues to pursue. Throughout her diverse experiences in both education and production management, Pema has cultivated strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills, reflecting her adaptability, commitment to growth, and passion for making a positive impact in every professional setting.

Kunsang Wangmo Gurung
Member
Ms. Kunsang Wangmo Gurung is serving as a committed member of our organization. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management (BHM) at Padmakanya Multiple Campus (PKMC) and resides in Jorpati, Gokarneshwor. Originally from Shey Phoksundo, Vijer, Dolpa, She has shown great dedication in both her academic and community endeavors. She completed her primary education up to Grade 5 at Shree Mukporong Himal Basic School and continued her secondary education at Suryodaya Educational Development Academy (SEDA). She then completed her higher secondary education in the Science stream at Reliance International Academy (RIA).
As a young and enthusiastic member, she brings a fresh perspective, a deep connection to her roots, and a growing passion for contributing to social and community development.
